Thermal Reconditioning

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

Thermal reconditioning is a hair straightening technique invented in Japan. People talk a lot about it lately because it involves much lower risks than other methods. Most techniques use corrosive ingredients such as Sodium Hydroxide, Calcium Hydroxide, Potassium Hydroxide, etc.

This innovative new method preserves the hair’s health while straightening frizzy, curly or wavy hair. Thermal Reconditioning will make the hair completely manageable. It will improve the hair’s feel and make it soft and shiny.

Most hair types will work well for the reconditioning. There is still one exception: African hair is too fragile and cannot withstand the heat.

The complete treatment takes between 3-6 hours and typically costs somewhere between $300 and $1000, depending on thickness, amount of chemical processing present and, of course, the hair length. The treatment will repeat after 6-12 months, depending on how quickly your hair grows but only on the roots.

It is strongly recommended that you find an experienced hairstylist who knows the technique very well and uses products from the main competitors like: Yuko, Liscio or Bio Ionics.

You can find the same technique under names like: Japanese Hair Straightening, Thermal Restructuring, Thermal Reconstruction, Ionic Retexturising, Rebonding

I just wanted to point out the main idea about this kind of hair straightening and hope you enjoyed.

Glamor hair

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Let’s talk about glamor hair style! It’s trendy and easy to do on short hair.

This hairstyle makes the short hair look sensual and very feminine. Use the hair foam on wet hair and be careful to avoid roots. When the product is well spread, dry your hair using a flat comb. Direct the hair laterally, but not downside. You can slightly role the tops over the comb. You should still take care that fore locks are oriented to behind, so your hair doesn’t give the impression of a huge helmet.

I bet that you, ladies, are happy to find out about any short hair styling idea. I admit that I have a great time trying different hairdos based on my short hair cut along with the appropriate outfit and makeup.

Return to your natural gray hair

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

How do we come to the natural gray hair without shocking people? I think we all want to know the answer, sooner or later. You maybe have years or decades left till your hair goes gray or just have enough of hiding the grizzled hair by coloring it. It is not easy to proudly wear your gray hair.

There are 2 major steps to go when deciding to stop dyeing: firstly find an expert in hair coloring and secondly have a short hair cut. The purpose is to minimize the contrast between your natural gray and the color you used to wear.

A professional and experienced stylist will start by low-lighting (the opposite of high-lighting). He will use non-permanent dyestuff that will come out after a few washes. Low-lighting means introducing dark hair color tones. He will put up to three different hair colors into your hair. The procedure will take longer if your former color was dark because of the big color contrast.

As we can see, finding an expert in hair coloring is primordial. Ask your friends or even someone you accidentally meet on the street about their hairstylist if you like their hair color.

Bob cut hairstyle

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Bob hair has always cherished his top position in short hair style. It deserves the honor, as it is so trendy and very feminine, designed for every season.

The 3 main bob styles need to look as natural and bright as they can. Let’s see them:

1. Natural bob style – it goes very well especially on a dynamic, all alive young woman. It requires some natural looking waves (easy dome by a hair waver), some hair wax or hair gel.

2. Sophisticated bob style is much labored. It requires using a flat iron.

Hair length is on the ear’s line with little curl for a vintage touch. A short bang fits very well. This hairdo is appropriate for unhesitating, successful women.

3. Classical bob style is generally preferred without bangs. The hair keeps the same length all over the head. It should be dried on a round comb to give more volume. The style looks good on fashionable colored classical outfits, with fine jewelry like necklaces, little earrings and other discreet accessories.

Just to be sure, I advise you to have some photos of the bob style you want for yourself when going to the hair salon. Maybe the hairstylist doesn’t picture the same bob style you do, when you explain him.

Mistakes that compromise your hairdo and harm your hair and scalp health

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

You don’t realize sometimes the ways you harm your hair when you are in a hurry. You can make many mistakes, but I will tell you right here how to stay away of them. It’s good to now which are the errors that are very easy to avoid.

1. It happens sometimes that a few locks of your hair are longer than the rest and you are tempted to trim them by yourself. It shouldn’t be so hard, you might say… But you have really good chances to destroy your hairdo. You’d better hide those imperfections using hair products till you pay a visit to the hairstylist.

2. When coloring your hair, try to do this on the hair salon. They can help you there to choose the right color, in tone with your hair type and natural shade. Anyway, it wouldn’t be wrong to try it at home if you are not intending to make a color changing and if you have some experience, too.

3. Your eyebrows color should be one tone lighter than your hair’s. You can use an eyebrow pen to create this effect.

4. A general mistake (only if you don’t go the hair salon every day) is to choose a fancy haircut which is hard to be maintained at home. The hairstylist has all the knowledge, products and tools to do any kind of hairstyle, but you cannot benefit of all these at home. Have a haircut that is easy to make look good at your home.

5. It is a well known issue that choosing the right products for your hair type is vital. Using inappropriate shampoo can harm your hair and scalp health on a long term.

Woman in business suit

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

Since I noticed, women in business wear different hairdos from medium to very short style. They might be doing this because it is easy to style it every day in a different way. Having the possibility of changing your look very often gives you the advantage of being unique.

There is another benefit: once you choose to wear a classical line, short hair cuts can make the difference. A proper very short or bob style along with a couple of discreet jewelries make the businesswomen more powerful. Why is that? As I said in one article, it is still very important for a woman to look good in order to succeed in this world.

The main jewelry for women in business suits, wearing short hair is earrings. Pearls, gold or silver earrings made by hand are very appropriate for these women. A little necklace would also go very well. Anyway, don’t match the jewelries only to your outfit. They will shine on you only if you feel comfortably wearing them and if they fit your mood, too.

Hena

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

People have been using Hena for a very long time for dyeing their body and hair. It’s true that some of us use Hena only for naturally coloring our hair, but it also has some other cure characteristics.

I’d like to give you some information about the plant. It rises in Africa, Southern Asia and Northern Australia. It is a small tree, 2–6 m high producing red-orange dye molecule, lawsone. Those molecules are concentrated mostly inside leafs.

Hena has been used to dye skin, hair and fingernails, but also wool, leather or silk.

Hair care industry proposes Hena for its cure benefits:

1. Prevents dandruff and successfully fights against it

2. Prevents hair loss

3. Regenerates hair

4. Conditions hair

5. Maintain a healthy scalp

6. Adds brightness to the hair

7. Has a soothing and cooling effect on the scalp

Home hairstyling

Thursday, February 1st, 2007

Today I tried to style my own hair and well, I was really surprised of results. I didn’t expect to go so well but, honestly, I was very patient, too.

I read a lot of magazines about styling short hair by yourself: firstly you should correctly dry your hair, secondly you should use the appropriate hair products and the most important – take your time when styling.

In styling short hair at home I tried to give you a roadmap for succeeding without any hairstylist help.

Styling long hair is more difficult then short hair is, only if you don’t want a simple approach. We chose to describe styling the short hair here because the site is dedicated to short hair fans. The short style is generally done at the hair salon so the hairdo only needs a little modeling at home. We described the steps to follow in “Style your short hair by your own” article.

How to pluck eyebrow

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

Short hair, eyebrows, lashes and lips make your face look great if they are properly styled. Assuming you managed to give your hair a fresh look and the stylist gave the short haircut a great shape, what’s left? When looking in the mirror you realize that there are some improvements you can do to eyebrows, lashes and lips.

You can use length or volume Mascara, depending on the day time or the activities you are going to attend. You choose the lip-gloss or lipstick to mach your makeup. But the most important is the eyebrows shape, because short hair style emphasizes the eyes.

Have a look at what my cosmetician told me about shaping eyebrows, if you are interested. I am very satisfied with the advice.
