People have been using Hena for a very long time for dyeing their body and hair. It’s true that some of us use Hena only for naturally coloring our hair, but it also has some other cure characteristics.
I’d like to give you some information about the plant. It rises in Africa, Southern Asia and Northern Australia. It is a small tree, 2–6 m high producing red-orange dye molecule, lawsone. Those molecules are concentrated mostly inside leafs.
Hena has been used to dye skin, hair and fingernails, but also wool, leather or silk.
Hair care industry proposes Hena for its cure benefits:
1. Prevents dandruff and successfully fights against it
2. Prevents hair loss
3. Regenerates hair
4. Conditions hair
5. Maintain a healthy scalp
6. Adds brightness to the hair
7. Has a soothing and cooling effect on the scalp

Today I tried to style my own hair and well, I was really surprised of results. I didn’t expect to go so well but, honestly, I was very patient, too.
I read a lot of magazines about styling short hair by yourself: firstly you should correctly dry your hair, secondly you should use the appropriate hair products and the most important – take your time when styling.
In styling short hair at home I tried to give you a roadmap for succeeding without any hairstylist help.
Styling long hair is more difficult then short hair is, only if you don’t want a simple approach. We chose to describe styling the short hair here because the site is dedicated to short hair fans. The short style is generally done at the hair salon so the hairdo only needs a little modeling at home. We described the steps to follow in “Style your short hair by your own” article.

As we all know or heard, pregnancy is a wonderful experience, especially if it’s your first child. You might have read many articles about the phases you are passing through, but you won’t completely understand them till you live your own experience.
One of the changes you are going to live is the excellent shape of your hair during the pregnancy, because of the hormones your body produces. Unfortunately, those great months of your hair usually end not long after you give birth. The hair becomes lifeless and you probably have to deal with the hair loss problem. If you wear long hair at that moment, you should probably consider trying a short hair cut. It is a lot easier to take care of short hair because you’ll have more time to spend with your newborn child. Look at the bright side, too: you may be thrilled with your new look and want to keep this short hair style for a while. Or you can always turn to the long hair style, again.

Short hair, eyebrows, lashes and lips make your face look great if they are properly styled. Assuming you managed to give your hair a fresh look and the stylist gave the short haircut a great shape, what’s left? When looking in the mirror you realize that there are some improvements you can do to eyebrows, lashes and lips.
You can use length or volume Mascara, depending on the day time or the activities you are going to attend. You choose the lip-gloss or lipstick to mach your makeup. But the most important is the eyebrows shape, because short hair style emphasizes the eyes.
Have a look at what my cosmetician told me about shaping eyebrows, if you are interested. I am very satisfied with the advice.

Corrine, my friend, is going to travel to Canada. She has never been there before. She and her boyfriend are going to rent a house trailer for a month. It is a challenge to live for a month in such a tiny “apartment” with somebody else, but she is very confident that everything is going to be all right. She told us that it is a very good opportunity for her to have a haircut and try something very short, a tousled hair style.
Have a good trip my friend and have fun!

I will give you today a little thought, something that fills me with joy because it is about my childhood.
I used to spend my childhood holidays in a mountain village where people’s life was like 100 years ago. There were about 300 families living in the village. Every family owned a little backyard for growing vegetables for their own use and some land with apple trees and plum trees for the fruits they used to sell at the market. They also owned a cow for milk, a horse for transportation, some poultry for eggs and meat and a few sheep.
There were tourists from all over the world who arrived to my grandparents’ village. They were surprised about the peasants’ peaceful but hardworking lifestyle. I remember a lady from a big city asking my grandmother about the face lotion that she might have been used in order to have such a young and shiny skin. My grandmother was 70 years old at that time and she had never ever used any beauty product for her face. It was the first time that I looked very carefully at her face and discovered that she had very few wrinkles.
It was all about the villagers’ lifestyle: many hours spent around the house, in the fresh air, but most of all their diet. They have only cooked aliments that came from their yards, full of vitamins, never technologically processed. The healthy lifestyle makes them look younger than they actually were without even being aware.
What’s the conclusion? The shape my grand-mother was in, till the last days of her life, gave me the certitude, more than any book I read, that a good diet, full of vitamins, is very important for us to feel good and to look great.

I met my good friend Joanne the other day. We were best friends in secondary school. Now we don’t meet very often because we live in different cities. She reminded me this conversation we had more then 10 years ago. As all the girls at that age, we were very concerned about fashion, trends and hair styles. Back then she used to wear her hair at the shoulder line and I was wearing an even shorter hair. We both wanted to try a very, very short haircut but, for no specific reason, we didn’t dare to make that move. We both did the promise that we’ll try a very short haircut at the age of 30. In spite of the promise, we tried the new look long before we turned 30 years old. Yes, we were curios about this. It was a fantastic experience for both of us. Since then, we have never felt any fear to change our styles again. A short haircut is an excellent opportunity to highlight your face and neck and for your make-up or your jewelry to shine.
So, don’t miss the opportunity and don’t be afraid to try different short styles if that’s what you want!

The four of us, all women, happen to have something in common: everyone wears a short haircut. We are good friends, we use to meet once a week and discuss all kind of issues while having a cup of coffee or tee and some cookies… usually one of us tries new recipes of pies or cookies and…sometimes they are really tasty!
It is one of our meetings where the idea that women wearing short hair share a specific lifestyle came across. We have all tried to grow our hair in the past, but we ended up by having a short haircut, again. Is it a coincidence or is it a part of our personality that tells as to keep changing our look?
Should we keep searching for our common characteristics and see if women wearing short hair have a quite different prospective for life than women wearing long hair do?
What do you think about this?
