Even if you regularly go to the hair stylist, it happens sometimes that you need to style your hair by yourself. Maybe there is an anniversary you should attend the night that you have just been told about, so, you don’t have time to go to the hair salon. That could be a problem only if you are not aware about a few tricks you need to know for styling your hair at home.
The hair stylist knows exactly what your hair needs; he’s got a bunch of products and accessories to make your hair look great, that’s true. Don’t be afraid. You can do your hair at home by following a few steps that I describe here and you might be thrilled of.
Obviously, the first step is washing your hair. It doesn’t matter if it looks good or it has been washed a day before. If you’re up a strong and stylish hairdo, hair needs to be perfectly clear.
When using the hair-dryer, put it on cold air. It’s less damaging and the risk of hairs dehydrating is low. When using the dryer be generous in applying the leave-in balsam.
It is best to put a fluffy towel on your wet hair before you use the hair dryer. Otherwise you could enhance the chances that your hair becomes degraded and easy to crush, on a long term.
Be very careful when choosing the hair care products and the ones for styling. A couple of examples: on waved hair it’s good to use a strong gel; a deep hydrating balsam for curly hair is appropriate.
Take your time to apply the hair products. A secret of a well done and long lasting hairdo is applying the gel or wax on every single lock very carefully. Finally, gently rake your fingers through your hair so the product is well spread.
Dry your hair on sections. Use a medium round comb to dry one lock of hair of a time, from the root up. Be patient! It will take some time, but you’ll be happy with the results.
It is possible that you have some rebel hair left. You just need a special hair lotion or wax to adjust it.
